New York, NY, November 15th, 2011 – Subuno, a fraud screening SaaS platform, and Rapleaf, an industry leader in personalization solutions, today announced a partnership to integrate Rapleaf services into Subuno.
Under the partnership, Subuno will integrate Rapleaf’s email data solutions so Subuno’s merchants have a new way of leveraging a customer’s email address as a risk indicator. Traditionally, email checks involve looking at an email’s syntax, deliverability, and whether or not the email is from a free email provider. With access to Rapleaf’s email data solutions, merchants can now approximate the amount of time an email address has been active, as well as analyze the correlation between the customer’s name, address, and email address for enhanced verification.
“Rapleaf grants merchants a powerful new way of verifying the information provided by the customer.” Said Ed Lin, co-founder of Subuno. “Email data is the long missing signal in fraud screening and provides an innovative method of verifying identity in today’s world.”
This “missing score” and added analytics is powerful in preventing fraud because fraudsters typically don’t use the actual email address of the card holder since the victims would then get an email confirmation about the fraudulent order. Starting today, merchants can leverage the new Rapleaf data sets within Subuno on an on-demand basis or automatically as part of multi-layered waterfall system.
“Subuno is the perfect home for email data services because Subuno allows merchants to easily leverage our data on emails in their own multi-layered fraud screening process,” says Pete Schlaefer, Director of Business Development at Rapleaf. “We love how Subuno allows merchants to use our data wherever and whenever they want in their screening flow.”
