Take a few hundred email marketing professionals, add salt water, sunshine and the beautiful Miami InterContinental, and you’ve got yourself one heck of a party.
Yesterday marked Day 1 of the 2015 Email Evolution Conference hosted by the Direct Marketing Association and, like every year, the conference’s opening day did not disappoint.
Starting with an opening keynote address from chief evangelist extraordinaire Guy Kawasaki, and several informative sessions on topics such as deliverability, attribution, CRMs and the quandary of the ever-evolving inbox. Alessandra Souers of JibJab won Email Marketer Thought Leader of the Year, and later we enjoyed drinks aboard a yacht.
There were challenging questions, debates, great conversations with industry leaders and plenty of speculation over the future of email marketing. And did I mention there was a yacht?
If you’re missing this year’s EEC, have no fear. We’ve got our list of best tweets to keep you up to speed.

Just because you can send an email to a big list doesn’t mean you should, says @SpencerKollas. So true! Relevance please. #eec15

Instead of being aggressive w/ the customer switch gears & be aggresive w/ current business policy. Don’t be afraid 2 try new things #eec15

Okay, we cheated a little. This one was published this morning, but we couldn’t publish this post without including a little industry snark:
Can we all agree that the word e-blast should die a quiet death? #eec15

…And that’s just the first day. Be sure to check out #EEC15 to keep up with the conversation and reach out to us at @TowerData!
