Even though mobile adoption is ever increasing, one thing is constant: people prefer to receive messages via email.
A recent survey by StrongMail and Forrester Consulting showed that 65% of smartphone users are willing to receive email promotions while 63% of those users prefer NOT to receive offers via SMS or in-app messaging. Check out the infographic with the survey results on Direct Marketing News.
However, even though email is still the channel of choice on mobile phones, it doesn’t work automatically. Smartphone users cite bad links (28%), emails that aren’t optimized for mobile viewing (28%), and network connectivity as the greatest barriers they face with emails on mobile devices.
